I joined a Black and White photography class for tweens just because my best friend asked me to, and never put down my camera ever since. I first learned composition, developing film and printing on paper. Later on, I explored color negative and slides, fine-tuning my technical approach to mixing light and color. I eventually switched to digital. I photograph in color but convert many shots to Black and White to create artistic photographs. Black and White dissociates the scene or subject from reality, enabling me to play with light, texture and contrast in ways that color would not allow. By freeing the viewers from the bias introduced by color, I aim to trigger another set of feelings, emotions and reactions that let them appreciate a landscape on a new, raw and organic level.

I want my photographs to bring to the viewer, by enhancing the natural light that paints shadows and contours textures in landscapes.
