Hello Again Summer
By Christine Mahaley
palette knife, acrylic on canvas
Spontaneity is very much a part of how I paint. Whether I am applying very thick paint and brush strokes on a canvas, to delicate washes of watercolor on paper. I prefer the journey to be unexpected. It creates a more interesting and emotional impact.
About the Artist
Creativity has always been a part of my life. From a very young age I found myself fascinated with color, texture, pattern, and all things related to art and design. I pursued that passion in college graduating with a degree in Interior Design and a Minor in Art. I have been a Professional Designer for many years. In December of 2018 I retired from my brick and mortar retail design business. I still offer design services but now have found the time I long waited for to pursue art. I live with the joy of nature and beauty of the natural world around my home in Newport which became my world during the pandemic. My paintings are full of color and life as I see it. I work in a variety of paints, acrylics, oil, and watercolor. I am filled with inspiration every day and am so excited to share this passion.
