About the Artist

I painted this during Covid from a photograph taken in Portland, Oregon’s Japanese Garden, one of my favorite places. I think it speaks to the isolation and the loneliness I felt during this period but also the feeling of hope I felt that Covid would eventually be over

I have been painting about five years and have done both acrylic painting on canvas and watercolor on claybord.  I especially enjoy painting figures in landscapes and animals.
